Web Box Apps

Web Box Apps

Your toolbox for the web.

Somebody is always trying to build the one app that does everything. It never works — nothing is great at everything, and the attempt just produces something bloated that nobody enjoys using.

So we build the other thing: a box of focused tools, each one shaped around a single real problem and sharp enough that you stop thinking about it.

How we build

01

One job, done properly

Every tool here has exactly one purpose. Shipping five things that almost work is easy. We’d rather ship one that actually finishes.

02

No tolls on your own data

You pay for the tool. That’s it. Nobody should have to pay a middleman for permission to read their own bank statement.

03

Your machine, your keys

Your credentials stay on your machine. If a tool can run locally, it does. We’d rather not sit between you and your own information.

04

We use what we ship

Everything in this box started as something we needed ourselves. If we quit reaching for it, that tells us more than any survey would.

Why “Web Box”?

Because it’s the honest description. Open a carpenter’s box and you find a hammer, a saw, a screwdriver, a tape measure. None of them have anything to do with each other. A wrench has no opinion about a screwdriver. They’re in there together because the same person needed all of them, and each one is excellent at exactly one thing.

Our products work the same way. They don’t share a category, and they’re not quietly assembling themselves into a platform. Each one exists because a job needed doing and nothing good existed yet.

We’re also not trying to replace the software that already works for you. Your editor, your accounting package, your CAD program — those are fine, and we have no interest in rebuilding them. We’re after the gaps: the specific, modern, slightly awkward jobs nobody has gotten around to making a good tool for.
